Alive and well

I haven’t posted for a while, but I’m still slogging along slowly. My mileage is down and much slower, but I’m still running. I’ve been focusing more on weights now than I was before in an effort to maintain some strength.

It been in the 90s here pretty much everyday this week so I’ve been here a lot.

Thank heavens for basements and AC.

I am in my second trimester today and ready to give up regular clothes. My thyroid is out of whack again and my energy is at an all time low. I feel better for a while after I run, but it doesn’t last long. Hopefully I’ll get my energy back and my thyroid under control and be able to run a little better.

Not a really impressive week, but I’m exhausted. I’m 12 weeks pregnant now and the morning sickness is going away, hope the overwhelming fatigue does too.
It was a crazy weekend we took a road trip. We drove 2/3 of the way to Niagara Falls and camped out. We found what seemed to be an awesome spot.

It was close to a trail and a hike down to a beautiful gorge.

Everybody played in the water and we found some great fossils. When we got back up to our camping spot we got some neighbors and that’s we it got bad. Apparently every one else in the campground (even those with children) go camping to drink and brawl all night. It was one of the weirdest experiences of my life. I must have only had an hour of sleep. The rest of the campers were up yelling, fighting and blasting music until 5 AM. I was actually pretty afraid.

I had wanted to run the whole trail section in the morning, but I was so tired I ran only a mile, we just wanted to get out of there.

We packed up and drove the rest of the way to Niagara Falls. We went to the Canadian side which was was exciting for all of us. Reinhardt was the only one of us that had been to Canada.

We walked around a bit and enjoyed the mist before we headed home.
